The well known Luxury fashion brand, Ermenegildo Zegna, is joining the Wearable Electronics industry with the release of its Zenga Sport iJacket.

We’ve seen similar iPod jackets of this kind, the controls for the iPod are located on the sleeve. The iPod itself is stored in a plastic pouch sown inside of the Jacket. The controls manipulate volume, track, and play / pause – the standard Remote Control function of the iPod.  Although this is nothing special in terms of technology what makes this Jacket outstanding is it’s designed and offered by high street fashion brand .

Ermenegildo Zegna are the first ones to make a ‘real’ fashionable alternative to those slightly bulkier offerings from the outdoor companies that offer similar Jackets with controls in the sleeve. The Zenga Sport iJacket fits perfectly into the city lifestyle wheras all the previous Jackets where designed for Outdoor apparel.

The Zegna Sport iJacket requires no special handling when dirtied up it goes into the washing machine like any other Jacket of this type. The jacket has a price tag of $750 USD and is in stores now.
