BS-Glow Miloni Glow Sneakers

Brooklyn designer BS-Glow has created the Miloni street sneaker.  The shoe features and illuminated mid sole.  The glow of light makes you feel like you are walking on a glow of light.

There are two modes of illumination.  Steady on or blinking depending on your mood.  Each shoe has a AAA battery in it to provide the juice.  BS-Glow take the Miloni which is a rapper favorite since 2006 and electrifies it.

Jezign Bubble Cloud Illuminating Shoe

Jezign, a Washington DC based shoe company started by Jez Marston specializes in illuminating sneakers.The Bubble Cloud shoe features a sole that lluminates at the push of a button. The light source, which is based on Jezign’s patented technology, is powered from a replaceable battery stored in the shoes tongue. Using top grade glove leather, the shoes are flexible and comfortable.

Despite the obvious safety it can provide at night like the ONO shoes, these are designed for looks. These shoes start at $149.99 and other varieties are available.

Nike Electrolite Arm Band

Nike is jumping into the wearable safety gear for runners. The Nike Electrolite Arm Band has an embedded soft light. Not only is this very wearable, its comfortable and affordable. It barely wieghs more then a traditional arm band, and is curved so it can be seen from many angles.Made of a flexible, lightweight, wide-angle wrap-around electroluminescent light bar that flashes on your upper arm. The small water resistant compartment houses two replaceable CR2032 batteries which provide around 20-30 hours of use and a low-profile on/off button. It is reasonably priced at $25.00. Studio 5050 Embrace-Me Hoodie

Studio 5050 is back again with the Embrace-Me hoodie. This hoodie has a large conductive version of their logo printed on front. When two Embrace-Me hoodies combine in a hug, lighted version of the big dipper appears on the back and a heartbeat sound is emitted.The hoodies come in a luxurious, cashmere-like 100% bamboo basket weave and are super soft. In about 4 weeks and $480.00 to $600.00 bucks you can get your own pair of Embrace-Me hoodies to share.

Evolved Footwear Lighted Sneakers

Brandon Laskowski a Northwest senior marketing major found his passion for sneakers in 2001. In 2005 due to the demand, Brandon started selling his customized Nike Dunks online under the name Evolved Footwear.Some of the techniques include textured faux snake and gator skins, engraving, peel aways, light up, fabric, painting and more. Shown here are the ‘Illuminated Confusion‘ Nike Dunk features a pattern print with neon green light-up lateral sides that either blink or glow. They are powered by a AAA battery and cost about $400.00. All upgrades takes 2-3 weeks and are all hand made.

Alina LED Chromasic Shoe

Alina Designs‘ LED lighted Dress Shoes feature 3 LEDs, red, green, blue. These primary colors can be mixed to create numerous color combos. A single AAA battery can power these super bright LEDs for about 12 hours. A tiny computer controls the LEDs in each shoe to give 5 basic modes of LED cycling plus “secret” modes and “holiday” modes that the user may figure out based on some hints.The tech behind these shoes are from Chromasic developed by Color Kinetics. This system controls the lighting and is a pioneer in small applications. The trick is Smartjuice, another Color Kinetics design. Smartjuice sends both power and signals over a shared 2 wire layout.These shoes go for $85.00 to $125.00.

2CLight Solar Lighted hats

2CLight has created a cap that uses solar power to illuminate 2 super bright LEDs. The way it works is a flexible solar panel is built in to the brim of the cap. A micro processor controls the charging and brightness of the lights. A switch is built in next to the lights themselves.The lighting when fully charged can provide 2 to 4 hours of full brightness or up to 36 hours of low light. This cap can be used when light is needed and your hands need to be free. Things like camping come to mind here. There are three basic styles: Baseball, Trailblazer and Sportsman, each style offers various color choices. The retail price is $ 35.00 available by 2CLight.

glo Pillow Illuminating Alarm Pillow

Are you tired of being startled awake by your alarm clock? You need a glo Pillow.Imagine being awoken by a gentle glow of light. Ian Walton and teammate Eoin McNally designed this pillow to convey the feeling of natural sunlight. The pillow uses an LED fabric to display the glowing and also doubles as read-out for the the clock function as well.

The process works by starting the gentle illuminations 40 minutes before the alarm is scheduled to go off. Tomorrow Incorporated Britepack

Tomorrow Incorporated, a new consumer goods company that produces toys and wearable apparel for kids, have developed the Britepack, the latest light enhanced bag.

Triggered by movement or impact, the Britepack sets off a pattern of LED lights and shuts off when the bag is put down. Its fun for kids and has strong parent appeal, since in low-light conditions kids can be more readily seen in traffic and urban areas.

‘The light-up and roller shoes have been available for awhile now, so we wanted to take “wearable tech” to the next level,’ said Jim Huntley, Chief Marketing Officer of Tomorrow Incorporated.

Next to the fun the kids will have with the lights, parents can appreciate the safety aspect Britepack provides as it gets darker earlier during the winter months.
