The ILLUM cycling jacket is the brain child of Goose Design and PDD, a creative design and product design agency respectively. This is the coolest concept cycling jacket that we have seen to date. Not only is it sharp but it uses tech clothing to bring style and safety to cycling.
The ILLUM jacket is a photovoltaic, aka solar powered, garment that uses electroluminescent ink to provide safety and sharp looks for today’s cutting edge cyclist. The design spans 360 degrees around the upper body of the cyclist and uses red lights to illuminate the back of the jacket while using white light to illuminate the front. Brooklyn designer BS-Glow has created the Miloni street sneaker. The shoe features and illuminated mid sole. The glow of light makes you feel like you are walking on a glow of light.
There are two modes of illumination. Steady on or blinking depending on your mood. Each shoe has a AAA battery in it to provide the juice. BS-Glow take the Miloni which is a rapper favorite since 2006 and electrifies it.

Brandon Laskowski a Northwest senior marketing major found his passion for sneakers in 2001. In 2005 due to the demand, Brandon started selling his customized Nike Dunks online under the name Evolved Footwear.Some of the techniques include textured faux snake and gator skins, engraving, peel aways, light up, fabric, painting and more. Shown here are the ‘Illuminated Confusion‘ Nike Dunk features a pattern print with neon green light-up lateral sides that either blink or glow. They are powered by a AAA battery and cost about $400.00. All upgrades takes 2-3 weeks and are all hand made.
HearWear is a concept created by Younghui Kim and Milena Iossifova, uses the sound/noise level of the environment to create active color patterns on clothing or bags.These cool garments interact with ambient sounds and show the levels on the garment. The microphone and processor converts the sound levels into light via LEDS and EL wire.Despite its coolness, this may also have safety purposes too. Good Stuff.
Interactive fashion is awesome. T-Sketch is creating a t-shirt that has a simulated white board on it. You write on it and it converts is into an illuminated message. Think back to the FootLume glow rug. It seems that trend is continuing. Luminoso is real wool rug with LEDs woven into it. The hundreds of tiny LEDs create an animated light pattern that emulates a galaxy. These rugs are made to order and are available from Top Floor.
