Fossil has been on the cutting edge wristwatch design for a while now. It comes as no surprise, then, that the company has prepped another fanciful design to add to their collection. Their Meta Watch is everything you could ever hope for in a wristwatch and it is this much closer to being a reality, thanks to its recent passing through the FCC.
The watches sync with your Android phone or tablet in order to do all sorts of cool things. Of course, it’s not out yet so the app selection is non existent at the moment. Expect that to change once these bad boys end up in consumer’s grubby little hands.
They are available for preorder now and launch officially on September 29th. I’ll see you in line at a Fossil ..read more

Like watches? Of course you do! Like being in shape? Of course you should! VEA are mashing these two together with their Sportive mobile watch line. After all, the less you have on you when you are running the better. You don’t want to get weighed down, I mean even more than you already are thanks to your incredible girth. Just kidding.

The world of gloves has seen some innovation in the past couple of years. However, nobody has yet to perfect the all-in-one audio controller and cell phone navigator. Enter the BEARTek Bluetooth Glove, the smartest five-fingered accessory that you are likely to find in the near future.
What does this glove offer? An expensive Bluetooth module built right into the textiles. This allows the user to do any number of things only using their hands. The sky truly is the limit here. Consider it the Nintendo Power Glove, if the Nintendo Power Glove didn’t suck the life right out of your childhood.
Now, this is just a concept design for now. The design costs accrued quicker than the designers anticipated. As such, they have put up a Kickstarter page for donations to make their ..read more

Jaybird is back with more bluetooth headset love. The company’s new unit, the JF3 Freedom, is a nifty piece of tech. Essentially, they are just a nicely designed pair of bluetooth headphones. There will be no more of those cumbersome wires for us, thank you very much. Also, as you can see from the photo above, the headsets make great ear accessories for sweaty hunky dudes. That’s cool I guess.
The JF3 is technically new, even though the company shipped a few to stores back in April. They go on sale everywhere next week. How much will they set you back? Just $99. Not bad for a life free of those annoying wires!
Here’s a link to a video review of the headset for you ultra cautious types.

Sure, EEG sensor-enabled headsets aren’t exactly uncommon these days. Still, this new unit by NeuroFocus may just take the functionality cake, in a purely Big Brother “uh oh” kind of way.
This headset, codenamed Mynd, is a full-brain EEG headset. What is it being used for? Why, telling advertisers exactly what is going on in that noggin of yours. Cool! Minority Report here we come.
Oh don’t worry. It could potentially also be used to help people with certain developmental disabilities. The Mynd is made of medical-grade EEG sensors to capture brain activity 2,000 times per second and a Bluetooth radio to shoot your thoughts to the smartphone, tablet, or PC of your choice.

The Eurotech Zypad WL150 may look like some 1990s vision of a tablet, but that doesn’t mean it’s not cool. It’s a computer you wear on your arm. This thing is perfect for the medical field, among other uses. Plus it has kind of a retro Star Trek look which is always nice
The WL150 features a 3.5 inch QVGA resistive display, a Marvell PXA320 processor, a paltry 128MB of flash storage, 3G connectivity, WiFi and Bluetooth. The OS of choice is Windows CE 6.0. Now, you may have realized by now that this doesn’t have far reaching consumer implications. However, it is being marketing to a variety of industries, including the medical and law enforcement fields.
It will be formally released later in the year. The price has not been disclosed.

Philips and their new SH series of headphones have one aim in mind: Comfort. These headphones use a kind of memory foam called FloatingCushion to create that warm, luxurious and restful feeling.
The company is releasing for models underneath the SH umbrella brand. There’s the Bluetooth SHB9100 model, the over-the-ear SHP8000 model and two folding compact SHL9000 editions. The latter two feature an in-line remote and a microphone. Not bad!
These are actually not coming to the states as of this writing. Of course, as buzz builds this could and should change. We will offer up more information as it becomes available. Until then, there certainly are other comfortable choices you can purchase here in the good ole US of A.

Sure, there is lots of cool eyewear out there. But how many of those pairs of tight specs promise to revolutionize social networking? None, except for these. They are called Eyez and they purport to do just that. The folks behind these sweet shades, ZionEyez, say they’ll eventually come with enough computing power to choke a horse. Wait, computing power can do that? Scary.
The makers say that these unassuming looking glasses will eventually contain a host of features, including a video camera that records 1080p, 16GB of flash memory, WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity, and a 350 mAh lithium ion battery. I say “eventually” because as of now they are empty frames. This could become vaporware, or it could become the coolest pair of glasses ever made. Are you a cup ..read more
