Recently the existence of Eleksen going forward had a huge question mark next to it. Luckily QIO Systems has invested in rejuvenating the pioneer that brought us the textile sensor tech gadgets.ElekTex, the crown jewel of Eleksen is now safe. ElekTex, a touchpad textile technology, brought us major revolutions starting back in 2006. The new venture will attack the iPod and Bluetooth angles.
Peratech Limited acquired the business of Eleksen from Deloittes, the appointed administrator of Eleksen plc and Eleksen Limited.
Eleksen filed Chapter 11 back in Oct. 2007 after being unsuccessful in raising additional capital for 2008.
Eleksen was a huge contributor to the Wearable Electronic and Interactive Clothing industry by working with major brands as O?Neill, ZegnaSport, Marks & Spencer?s, Kenpo, Jansport and many others over the past two years. A large range of products have been introduced using their technology.
Philip Taysom, joint CEO of Peratech commented ?The sad demise of Eleksen plc took everyone by surprise – and we have worked very hard to ensure there is a smooth transition for customers who had planned products based around Eleksen?s ElekTex apparel control products ..read more
We do write a lot about iPod enabled clothing and bags = iPod Fashion but there is more than the iPod in the world.
For folks who have another favorite music player, G-Tech might have just the right bag for you like The Replay which looks cute and allows some control over your music in a convenient way: not having to rummage in your bag to look for your player for just muting the sound or turn up the volume.
The Replay is a good looking sling-bag with music player control buttons on the shoulder strap.
The 3-button control of The Replay allows controlling the volume either up or down. The key pad features a keylock to protect against accidental operation and will lock automatically after 7 seconds of non-use. To unlock, press ..read more

Eleksen is on the way to set a new standard on how interactive apparel will be made with the launch of the eSystem according to a press release from businesswire.com
I have first seen samples of the eSystem last June during the Avantex in Germany which has the potential to revolutionize the interactive apparel business.
This solution offers a high degree of flexibility and lets the consumer decide which personal electronic devices they want to control with their interactive clothing.
The different eSystem modules are sold separately (see image above) which allows the consumer to select the functionality matching the gadgets they own. Consumers could buy more than one module and, depending on the function needed on certain occasions, plug in the eSystem module that fits best the situation.
